    @hacks4pancakes

I don't know how anyone is not looking up likely names in them constantly to see if they're in there and how

@hacks4pancakes I think it's mostly a survival mechanism, considering it's increasingly looking like no one's going to face consequences. (Stateside; in the UK it looks like this is going to be the thing to topple Starmer)

It does look like Starmer will fall, but he was already looking like he was going to fall so, IDK.

Think of the darkest caricature of evil you can think of in media and even it probably didn’t go quite this far. Even the most disgusting torture prn to get banned from international cinemas. AND THE IMPLICATED PEOPLE STILL HAVE JOBS.

@hacks4pancakes Pizzagate was obviously totally made up, and yet generated more tangible outrage in the US than Epstein.

@hacks4pancakes I was writing an 'evil' character and wondered if I'd gone to far. Then I read the news and thought 'Man, I'm such an amateur.'
The evil of humanity is so extreme it is beyond my ability to imagine.

@hacks4pancakes Now, how does one go about this type of justice? It reminds me a little bit of Germany after WW2.

I can’t think of a phrase to describe what I’ve read even as a forensic analyst. “Cartoonishly evil” is too gentle. Horrific. Inhuman.

@hacks4pancakes I think the average person is just doing a casual check for a couple names and unless they come across something horrific right away are largely ignoring the rest or waiting for someone else to give them a synopsis on what's in there.

@mattblaze @hacks4pancakes Utterly unsolicited, but here is where the asymmetry of the media ecosystems between left/right do the left a disservice. The left need not lie to gin up righteous anger and moral outrage about what's happening, and yet: whither the Shapiros, the Kirks of the left? And MSNOW ain't exactly Fox.

The left (for some values of left) seems to have learned that public outrage is a characteristic of the right, and therefore to be avoided. I would much rather it be matched and exceeded with the weight of truth behind it.

I know! And if you don’t want to go through it all, at least listen to a lot of the independent creators who have and are sharing what they found. Believe the victims. Give all the benefit of the doubt to them, and absolutely none to these men who are what I would call demonic. Horror films couldn’t even be this grotesque and worse, all joking and normalized between them. Children spoken of in unimaginable ways…

I think it's a flood strategy. Most of the general public doesn't have the attention span to sift through literally millions of files of what amounts to raw intelligence and do the analysis, and the hapsburg-jawed nepobabies that call themselves "journalists" are too craven and/or incompetent to do it.

It'll make its way out in time, but I'm guessing the oligarchs, in true corporate raider fashion, have told themselves "I'll be long gone by then"

Most people can’t & wont face a reality they must change or do something in response. They’d rather live in hell.
It bothers me people carrying on as usual knowing the sheer number of predators & co-conspirators making the machine oppressing.
Making all this information come to light, such as it is, cost lives, people took huge risks, effort, courage, so that this can be stopped. I wonder if people are reckoning with it, or dissociating bc of enormity or apathy.

They’re not just talking about rape, they’re taking about kids. They’re not just talking about kids, they’re implying destroying bodies. They’re not just talking about destroying bodies, they’re talking about killing babies. They’re not just taking about killing babies, they’re talking about how they taste. And repeatedly implicated people still have their jobs, right now. Holy shit, people.

@hacks4pancakes We were raised on a broken very relativist ethical basis which skewed hard towards the heartless "live and let die" American libertarianism.

I don't think the public at large really believes absolute evil like this is even real.
