I wrote answered with what I’d like as far as severance goes (much more) what the law stipulates, and didn’t sign of course. They wrote me back very sweetly with an 8 week offer, but I’m countering with more. We’ll see what happens next

@patrickworld Damn. Stick to your guns. Typically, a severance package reflects one month for every year worked. Accepting means you can't seek any legal action against them. Sorry to hear of this.

I am sorry that after being there for that many years , you have to move on. You will have a great resume though, and wherever you land will be delighted to get someone that stayed with a company for 8+ years.
