Just heard a young new ham hitting a repeater for the first time with a new radio, saying she was nervous to make contacts.

Guy says, "Is this your first QSO, then?"
She says, "Well no, when I first got my tech and general, I checked into an Esperanto net."
Now THAT is someone who knows what to do with their new license!
Where can I hear this net?? -

Back in the mid / late 80s there were a number of Esperanto nets, generally with quite a few by Yugoslavian hams as I recall.
There was (may still be) an #Esperanto Amateur Radio club which I was a member of at one time.My current setup is not conducive to participation in regular nets so I've no idea what the current situation is.

The International Esperanto Amateur Radio Club still exists, but although there's an annual contest there don't seem to be any HF nets any longer. There's an Echolink channel though. -
