I felt strangely light-headed and like I could smell something odd. I searched the house for disaster, but couldn't find anything. Couldn't shake the feeling that something smelled vaguely burning.
The national news kindly confirmed I'm not suffering a stroke when it sent out the alert "entire country enveloped in smoke as forest fire rages"
