A seggi appena chiusi dall’Anm arriva un clamoroso colpo di scena. Il presidente dell’Associazione nazionale magistrati Cesare Parodi, che in questi mesi di campagna referendaria è stato uno dei volti e portavoce delle ragioni del No alla riforma della giustizia di Carlo Nordio su cui si è votato domenica e lunedì, si è dimesso dall’incarico.
Una decisione, viene fatto sapere, presa per “motivi personali” e che sarebbe stata meditata da tempo, non legata all’esito del referendum sulla giustizia. “Qualunque fosse stato il risultato del referendum sulla riforma costituzionale non avrebbe più guidato il sindacato delle toghe”, scrive Giovanni Bianconi sul Corriere della Sera. Parodi ha comunicato pochi minuti prima delle 15 la decisione al Comitato direttivo centrale dell’associazione.
Procuratore capo ad Alessandria dal novembre 2025, era dal febbraio 2025 a capo dell’Associazione nazionale magistrati. Nell’Anm è iscritto dal 1990, in particolare nel gruppo di Magistratura Indipendente, quello storicamente legato alla destra.

Earthquake at Anm, President Parodi resigns as president on the day of the referendum on justice.

Just a few moments before 3:00 PM, a dramatic turn of events occurred. The president of the National Association of Magistrates, Cesare Parodi, who has been one of the faces and voices of the No campaign in these months leading up to the referendum on Justice Minister Carlo Nordio’s reform – a reform voted on Sunday and Monday – has resigned from his position.

The decision, it is reported, was made for “personal reasons” and had been considered for some time, unrelated to the outcome of the referendum on justice. “Whatever the result of the referendum on the constitutional reform, he would not have led the association of judges,” Giovanni Bianconi wrote on the Corriere della Sera. Parodi communicated the decision to the Central Executive Committee of the association just a few minutes before 3:00 PM.

Head Prosecutor for Alessandria since November 2025, he had been at the head of the National Association of Magistrates since February 2025. He has been a member of the Anm since 1990, particularly within the group of Independent Judiciary, historically linked to the right.
