why do they say it's "burn-out" when someone comes to their senses and walks away from a toxic industrial environment? I should think it shows a flame has kindled!
Folks I know, including myself, can work astounding long hours at something they love, even if it doesn't pay, even if it will likely "be useful as a bad example", but because it is important to them.
