you find a privacy respecting alternative to something you're currently using. Do you?knowing people approach privacy and security in unique ways based on their threat model and a poll which provides a limitation to personalized experences.
with added general vagueness of the questions isn't the best way access public opinion on sensitive nuanced topics like privacy, It's still interesting to see the results. -

you find a privacy respecting alternative to something you're currently using. Do you?@forgetpassword If I'm the only one using it...depends how much hassle it is to switch and how bad the thing I'm already using is. I feel like I'm already on those alternatives but I'm open to (but also skeptical of) more!
But if it's something I use to interact with others? Switching will probably never happen. Even if they're interested, even if they seem *excited* about an alternative...within a month they'll probably be back on the old thing. I might leave the community in order to leave the software, or I might leave the software when I leave the community. Although mostly in my past it's been the former.
