Under leader David Barnea, Mossad had become "a driving influence within the general Iranian public". The astroturfed riots enabled Israel to convince Trump to join the war on Iran.

While both Isreal and US have been utterly despicable in this conflict, reducing people’s uprising against an oppressive regime to just ‘manipulation’ by a murderous secret service is an insult to the lost lives of 30K (mainly young people) who just wanted hope.
