Good morning!

Good morning! A Carolina wren (aptly called "lungs on legs" by @Uncleharvey) is sitting on the front porch singing its little lungs out. Repeatedly. (Likely complaining I haven't hung out any plants he can use for nesting.) I almost expect one of our chickadee parents to come out of the nest box, only a few feet away, to tell the wren not to wake the babies! The poor chickadees have been up since before 6 am, bringing food to their growing family. I'm sure they need a rest.

@Sharonbw @Uncleharvey Those noisy Carolina Wrens are always the very first bird Merlin hears whenever I start it up. They are definitely heard more often than all the others.
