@SymTrkl So like, in theory, I think reclamation of "degenerate" could be possible at some point. But I'm not terribly comfortable with it now, even if it's done in a positive way by people who the term is used against, because the general public is so uneducated about its origins and implications. I worry that when people call themselves degenerates, it's just contributing to the normalisation and spread of the term, even when the people reclaiming it know its history.

@SymTrkl Like, spreading Nazi terminology is part of how fascist ideas get laundered, and I think even the most well meaning and educated person can contribute to that without meaning to.

@BathysphereHat @SymTrkl i call myself that in the full sense that the Nazis used it. Im a person thats despicable to Nazis, that they want to eradicate, i try to be anathema to the Volksgemeinschaft and i take pride in that. But i can see your argument.
