But I'm not terribly comfortable with it now, even if it's done in a positive way by people who the term is used against, because the general public is so uneducated about its origins and implications. I worry that when people call themselves degenerates, it's just contributing to the normalisation and spread of the term, even when the people reclaiming it know its history.
