He also just casually told me he hates Telecasters, so you'll never guess what guitar I'll be using exclusively on his demos.

@geoffduncan I should think none guitars, since he’s “altering” the deal. I’d use exactly zero guitars to make him zero tracks.

We agreed I’ll put about half the time into it. He’s been an occasional gig/client for years, so I’ll cut him some slack.It’s still going to be all-Telecaster. He’ll never realize and I’ll tell him in a year or two.

Well, I can't comment on whether folks who dislike Telecasters are not honorable people. *This* particular person has been pretty straight with me for years—but they do make me suspicious! I agree a good Telecaster is wonderful. I tend to go for semi-long periods of not using mine (like a frew weeks), and when I pick it up again for something it's always a quirky, essentialist delight. I've idly thought about getting a second one—the now-discontinued Baja Teles are tempting!—but I have a no-duplicates policy, and I don't think I could part with the current one.
