National Funk Congress Deadlocked On Get Up/Get Down Issue

CHOCOLATE CITY—After months of ceaseless debate, including last week’s record 76-hour filibuster slap-bass solo from Senate Rubber Band Minority Leader Bootsy Collins (D-OH), the National Funk Congress is no closer to resolving its deadlock over the controversial "get up/get down" issue, insiders reported Monday.

@Kierkegaanks @TheBreadmonkey Maybe just footnotes. Where’s Paul when you need him?

          1. Gaelic football is a form of football played in Ireland. It has some similarities to rugby and Aussie rules football.

          2. Crucially for the joke, GF at the highest level is played in an All-Ireland competition of county teams, including County Down.

          3. Newry is in County Down. Actually the east side of Newry is, and the west side, across the river, is in Armagh.

@Nickiquote @Kierkegaanks @TheBreadmonkey You call that pressure? My mother grew up in Portadown and I have a brother that played. Now, you really don't want to let down … wait for it …  our Ma. 😐

In Lurgan where I grew up despite being born in Down, Portadown was pronounced Portyup
