The groups had common ground and some are now even affiliated. It has developed into a dangerous "political" mix, some of whom are only conceptually close to terrorism, while others are also close to it through their actions (or their weapons collection), or have already crossed the line. yeah we have these "sovereign citizens" who just make up their own laws. they watch a youtube video or even send some con artist some money, then they think they don't need to follow traffic laws for example
their courtroom antics are rather hilarious

It sure is sobering that so many families lost people to COVID or gained a disability from it, out of a messed up and misplaced sense of identity and loyalty

the COVID stats are not reflecting realitymany more continue to die in the ongoing COVID pandemic. often the deaths are described as natural causes or death after a brief or extended illness (Long COVID)
organ failure, cancer, and stroke are all common occurrences for those suffering from Long COVID

@infobeautiful @ourworldindata - I have, many more times than once, explained to foreigners on-line who are afraid to visit the United States because they think they'll be murdered in a mass shooting that: I'm over 50 years old and have never been shot or shot at, don't know anyone who has, and have never observed anyone being shot or shot at, and that the very overwhelming majority of gun deaths are suicides. But hey if they want to believe the media over facts they can look up, it's on them.

@infobeautiful @ourworldindata interesting that the majority of respondents are focused on the diseases rather than the distraction of the media. Should we not educate ourselves to help avoid the bigger threats rather than be drowned in issues of much less importance, like drug overdoses are often front page but insurance denials for many major medical issues are none existent.
