Good morning!

Good morning!
Today we'll begin to cool down to more normal April temperatures (if there is such a thing as normal any longer): we'll have a high temp of 80F (27C) instead of 90 (32C), and back in the seventies for the weekend with some much-needed rain.
Some of the perennials I planted last year that I thought had died are coming up again. Hurrah!
And we have yet another type of flowering tree blooming now, this one more purple than pink. My walks are prettier and prettier each day.
Have a good one, my friends, and keep on keeping on. May you find some beauty in your life #today.

@joyce Is that a redbud? It sort of looks like it, but I wouldn't think it would grow in your area. Whatever it is, it's beautiful. Thanks for showing us.
Our azaleas are fading, but the rhododendrons are still going strong. After living so many years in the desert, all these flowering plants and trees are a feast for my eyes every year. Hubby wants to plant more, but with this drought it would be foolish.
Have a good Friday.

Redbuds do grow in this area, so yes, that's probably what it is.
The azaleas that I inherited when I bought this place 20 years ago are dying and I don't know why. Could they just be too old? In any case, the azaleas around my neighborhood are just starting to bloom, as are the tulips. Your spring must be just a bit earlier than ours.

@joyce We are also seeing the decline of the plants from 20+ years ago. I don't know enough about them to even guess. We want to bring in a plant doctor to look at what's going on. And yes, I'm further south and a few weeks ahead of you and Sharon. Do enjoy those redbuds! They are one of my favorites.
