When you open the app
@GossiTheDog At least Dear Leader's app is probably built with juche, rather than a bunch of dodgy 3rd party components.
I especially like pulling from a random personal github page in production. That's classy supply chain security.

A button gives the option to “text President Trump,” which, when clicked, opens a text message to a pre-selected number with the default text “Greatest President Ever!”

@GossiTheDog If the app has the security typical of a Trump operation, it shouldn't be long before someone changes the default to say "Resign, you incompetent pedophile fucknugget."
Bonus points if the default text is sent every time someone opens the app.

@womble exactly my thought. The USA is not becoming a banana republic but an onion republic!

When will Trump require everyone to install a telescreen in their homes & offices like in George Orwell's 1984?
"Defense Against Tyranny" MAGA & the 2nd Amendment types who are silent on this, are hypocrites.
Reflecting on Orwell’s 1984 in 2024: From Telescreens to Touchscreens
By Kavisha Pillay In 2024, I read George Orwell’s 1984, a book written in 1949 as a critique of the authoritarian regimes that rose to prominence during the first half of the 20th century. Orwell not only sought to warn his readers of the dangers of omnipresent surveillance and censorship but also highlighted how authoritarian regimes employ psychological manipulation to maintain their grip on society. Through the oppressive presence of Big Brother, the rewriting of history by the Ministry of Tr

@GossiTheDog every day they find more and more ways to embarrass this country

@GossiTheDog Clearly he was taking lessons when he met Kim Jong-Un.
@greem @GossiTheDog That's not a joke and we know it to be true.
Every time he goes over there he comes back bragging about how great they treat him.
There's the hot mic moment with him bitching out people because he's not getting snappy salutes everywhere he goes like Kim does.
He looks up to Kim and very much wants what he has and intends to turn us into that.
Yes. Clearly he was. Very clearly. He's said as much. People keep ignoring him.

@fuzzyfuzzyfungus @GossiTheDog There are ways to do that safely but I doubt they're being used.
My favorite is actually how it injects JS into the sites it visits and nukes any of the cookie permission and privacy setting dialogs it runs into.
How much you want to bet you replace that, "Greatest president ever" text with "Suck dick, douchebag" and you're fired and then you get an audit letter from IRS.

@crazyeddie @GossiTheDog The public version certainly looks like it has enough adtech embedded to allow for plausible targeting. I'm morbidly curious if the fed IT push is identical to the public version; or if it will have additional loyalty features. Given how confused they sounded about the rollout and how trash it is I'd guess the former; but there are certainly enough smart-evil techbros to handle the latter.
