Anyone in Alberta familiar with the solar company Solartility? So far I've stayed on Enmax (as I have for over 20 years) as I get a very good deal from them that even the solar plans could not improve on.
I got a card in the mail from Solartility and their high/low rates are very good plus they claim to dynamically decide each month whether to use the high or low rate. This was a sticking point for me with other plans which either had fixed months for each rate or forced you to try and predict.
Based on my ongoing power spreadsheet I could have substantial savings through them. My hesitation is they appear to rather new so I'd like to know more about them if I can.

Devil hides in the details. Check for the fees they don't shout about. According to our provider the rate is around 11 cents per kW, but after fees it is normal to see 23 cents/kW. -

That said the distribution and transmission fees as well as the city fees are not avoidable regardless of the provider. It is a good point to look at those too. The nice thing here is even if you sign you have tens days to cancel so any hidden details don't bite you.
