I've posted these before but I was appreciating them again in the early morning sunlight today.

Edit: they were my great great grandmas. My mother's mother's mother's mother, and my mother's father's mother's mother.
Wow, write that word enough times and it starts to look wrong.@dillyd You’ve lost me.
They’re old and beautiful. -
@dillyd That's so great you have them. My Grandmothers hands never stopped moving... Relaxing(?) down time on the farm for her was either crocheting or knitting things for the family. Gosh I miss her.
-
@dillyd Those are beautiful!
And such a great connection to your gggmas! -

@RussCheshire @dillyd When I found my grandma's lace bobbins (many years after her death) I had no clue what they were.

Wow, write that word enough times and it starts to look wrong.@dillyd Wow! It's so amazing when you're able to preserve something that your ancestors made, so special

@dillyd They’re lovely! Do you know how to quilt? It’s on my bucket list to learn someday.

Wow, write that word enough times and it starts to look wrong.@dillyd They are really old, then. But, they still look beautiful.

@lydiaschoch
I do quilt, but I don't know how to crochet. I'd like to learn. -
@dillyd Gorgeous!

I do quilt, but I don't know how to crochet. I'd like to learn.@dillyd @lydiaschoch I (re)learned how to crochet with books and Youtube.
The basic building block of getting a loop through a loop (once or more) gives an infinite world of possibilities. The hardest part is spending enough time to get regularity. I like #crochet -

Wow, write that word enough times and it starts to look wrong.@dillyd there's a technical term for this but I can't remember it. (You get the same effect if you /say/ the same word too many times in a row.)
