Milano, 23 mar. (askanews) - Ancora missili su Teheran, truppe israeliane in Libano e raid balistici e droni iraniani contro Israele, alcuni andati a segno in aree residenziali nel sud del Paese, con decine di feriti.
La guerra in Medio Oriente entra in una fase ad altissimo rischio ma si sposta anche, sempre più, sul terreno energetico.
Gli Stati Uniti, con Donald Trump, hanno lanciato un ultimatum all'Iran: riaprire completamente lo Stretto di Hormuz oppure affrontare attacchi mirati, in particolare contro la rete elettrica del Paese.
Teheran ha risposto minacciando di alzare il livello dello scontro: "Se gli Usa colpiranno le centrali iraniane, Teheran chiuderà Hormuz, minerà lo stretto e attaccherà su larga scala infrastrutture energetiche e di comunicazione israeliane e regionali, compresi impianti nei Paesi che ospitano basi americane", ha dichiarato Ebrahim Zolfaghari, portavoce del quartier generale Khatam al-Anbiya.
Sul tavolo ci sono anche opzioni militari più pesanti. Tra queste, l'ipotesi di un intervento statunitense di terra su Kharg Island, snodo chiave per l'export petrolifero iraniano.
Il rischio non è solo una nuova escalation militare ma che il conflitto diventi uno shock globale, capace di colpire energia, economia e stabilità internazionale. "Nessun Paese sarà immune agli effetti di questa crisi se continuerà ad andare in questa direzione. Pertanto, è necessario uno sforzo globale in tutto il mondo", ha ammonito Fatih Birol, direttore dell'Agenzia internazionale dell'energia (AIE).Iran: “We will mine the Strait of Hormuz if they attack power plants.”

The war in the Middle East is entering a high-risk phase but is also increasingly shifting to the energy field.
The United States, with Donald Trump, has issued an ultimatum to Iran: fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz or face targeted attacks, particularly against the country’s power grid.
Tehran has responded by threatening to escalate the conflict: “If the US strikes Iranian power plants, Tehran will close Hormuz, mine the strait and attack large-scale Israeli and regional energy and communication infrastructure, including plants in countries that host American bases,” said Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters.
Heavier military options are also on the table. These include the possibility of a U.S. ground intervention on Kharg Island, a key export hub for Iranian oil.
The risk is not just a new military escalation but that the conflict becomes a global shock, capable of hitting energy, the economy and international stability. “No country will be immune to the effects of this crisis if it continues in this direction.
