    Over 75% of the world’s food crops need pollinators.

    Yet, bee populations have dropped globally over recent decades due to:

    🔸 habitat loss
    🔸 climate change
    🔸 excessive use of pesticides

    Our fertiliser plan promotes healthier ecosystems, which are essential for bees’ survival.

    On this #WorldBeeDay, we urge governments, organisations and citizens to help save these precious creatures.

    We need to keep our bees busy and well!

    @EUCommission

    I love the image, but the "excessive use of pesticides" is absolutely something the EU commission could and should be doing something about. Ban glyphosate, please.

      @riggbeck @EUCommission Meh. It's just the LinkedIn meme ham-fistedly shoehorned onto Mastodon.

      Political orgs trying to communicate online are hilarious. Can you imagine any other language where they'd go "we don't need a translator, I'll just make similar noises and they'll accept us as one of their own"?

      @woe2you @riggbeck @EUCommission

      The Mastodon version would be "I installed Linux on this dandelion in my organic permaculture farm and set up a bash script that automatically extracts nectar every 6 hours"

      Also, the bee is neurodivergent

        @EUCommission
        AND lack of biodiversity due to large fields with one single type of vegetables.
        Imagine of eating one single kind of food for your life; that would be a very poor nutritional diet -> not a long life.

            @EUCommission I don't get it what Mastodon has to do with bees.

            Do you post similar things to suggest facebook, google or instagram are out of touch with reality, too?

            Or, 🤔 Since you post it on mastodon, you want to show how you give in to silliness?

            This is too goolge for me - , err… meta. 🤯

                        Does the community manager ever heard about the Bayer - Monsanto rigged buying to past approval of the carcinogenic #RoundUp.

                        Yeah! Your fleas became giants again. 😒

                            To start saving pollinators we first need to drop the idea that only bees are pollinators. Then we need to educate about native pollinator conservation. And then we need to ban pollinator extinction biocides.

                            Just a moment...
