@Laukidh @jrconlin @blogdiva She seems to be the most liberal in her positions, so I was for her, but the ship seems to be sunk. Alas.

@blogdiva @jrconlin OK, I am an uneducated California voter. I am an unabashed “bleeding heart liberal.” Whom do I vote for? It’s become a “confusopoly," intentionally, I suspect. Thank you.

@haineux @blogdiva Same. I really liked her and she was my likely pick.

          people:

          #VOTE IN THE #PRIMARIES

"these #democrat #candidates in the general #election fucking suck"

          yes, yes...

DID YOU VOTE IN THE FUCKING PRIMARIES?!?!?!

          remember the lesson of #mamdani:

          the establishment was against him

          and how did we react?

did we moan and whine and not vote?

          no

we showed up and we fucking voted

          and what happened

          mamdani won

          learn. this. lesson.

          VOTE

@benroyce @blogdiva My congressional district has been solidly Dem probably since FDR, which means the most significant contest is the Dem primary. If you don't tune in til a few weeks before the general election, you've missed the whole deal. In other districts, the GOP primary is the whole game. The *most* important thing, though, is that "the Democrats" doesn't exist. There are 50 state Democratic Parties, plus territories, plus Dems Abroad. The Democratic Party is what you make it.

            cannot say this enough:

Tom Steyer is running as a democrat in California to sabotage the other Democratic Party candidates, especially Katie Porter.

            she would veto this legislation.

DO NOT TRUST THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY ESTABLISHMENT.

the #California primaries are a referendum on #billionaires #techbros and ultimately, the kind of corporatist #fascism that passes for centrism in this country.

BILLIONAIRES ARE THE ENEMY. don't let Steyer hand California to the fascists.

@blogdiva What information shows that Katie Porter would veto this?

As a Californian, I am beating my head against the wall right now. We seem completely screwed. Who thought one big primary for both parties sounded like a good idea??? 😱
