well FUCK.

@gsuberland Can you lift the door off the hinges? Might be cheaper than sawing it in half ^^'
@dequbed nope
-
@gsuberland oof. Which is worse, replacing the door or cleaning up and replacing a broken window lol
@aburka door, easily
-
@gsuberland Any potential for access through roof space?
@froztbyte nope

well FUCK. just got locked out of my work room. not by the lock, but because a spare shelf panel fell over, flat on the floor, behind the door and wedged between the door and the chest of drawers. it's wedged shut, only opens about 2mm. can't get in through the window, it's shut and locked. FUUUUUUCK. gonna have to saw the damn door in half to get back in.
@gsuberland
Can you get a lever underneath the door?
A paint knife or something like?A wire coathanger worked into a U-shape, twist it to lift the near edge of the panel.
Then maybe you can get another one round the edge of the door? -

@gsuberland Would cutting a hole for a vent grate in the lower half work? That wouldn't destroy the door, and you can make it look intentional. (And also leave easy access should something like this ever happen again...)

@gsuberland can you shove something under the door to push it back some? At least enough to pry the door open?
Also, hinges aren't on the outside I guess
BOO

@gsuberland oh hell, that’s a situation. I’m sorry you’re having to go through that to get in.

@gsuberland How much of a gap is there at the bottom of the door? You might be able to slide an airbag (one of the locksmith sort!) under the door and shelf, to start lifting the edge up. You could then try some U shaped rod to tip the shelf up further.
