Longstone Manor stands near the Reservoir and dates back to the 16th century. It was occupied by the Elford family for around 150 being converted into a working farm in about 1750. The property remained was a farm for another century and a half, after which it was abandoned; the reservoir was constructed not long after in the 19th C. The stone in the third photo is an Apple crusher.
