I went for a short hike today from my camp spot in the national forest in New Mexico. There were bear tracks in the sand of the forest road I drove to get back here, within sight of my truck.

I drove in here on Saturday evening; the tracks are on top of my tire tracks. So, a recent visitor. I'm not concerned, black bears tend to be quite shy unless habituated to humans which would not be the case this far back in the woods. I just think it's very cool.
