Once I heard that a buttom remapping tool for the remote would make performance on the TV worse because it has to be continuously active or something, I didn't dare touch even a third-party launcher.

@Metal_Link not with the two launchers I’ve tried. But that may change depending upon the hardware. I have a 3 year old Sony Bravia TV. For me
The regular launcher is far more sluggish then the two I’ve tried.From what I’ve been told at4k is a little lighter but it requires a second app for full tv take over. The one I’m full timing is called Project Ivy which might be more intense.
I’d say gave one or both a try it’s easy to switch back
