GoSun Solar E-Trike: Self-Charging Cargo Truck
GoSun claims this is the world's 1st " #solar utility vehicle"
"Carrying up to 3 occupants, 600 lbs of payload, and 48 cubic feet of cargo, the Gopher is built for people who need to move people, gear, and supplies without a gas station in sight. A 650-watt solar array keeps you charged by the sun, while a built-in 2,400-watt AC output means you're not just a vehicle... You're a fossil-fuel free power station on wheels..."

Pretty sure the claim of "first" is wrong unless they're defining it very narrowly. But GoSun is a known solar name so they should have success marketing this to those who have not been paying attention to the cargo/e-cycle world. #BikeTooter #CargoBike #Solar

Since they highlighted the ability to operate it without needing a license, I think we're approaching a tipping point, at least in the US. Despite cars being so much more dangerous and all the second chances drivers get, I predict that unless there is an unprecedented grassroots organizing of cyclists, US states will start requiring licenses of those using e-cycles (or maybe even cycles in general).
Although driver after driver killing people hasn't gotten speed governors required on cars,

I fear the usual double standard means all you need is a couple collisions caused by careless e-cycle riders/drivers before the push to require license and insurance goes over the top.
To that end, I'd say it is crucial for US cyclists to organize their communities (and reach out and educate and bring more cyclists into your advocacy community) now. #BikeTooter

$10,000, which is what some recumbents with e-assist cost.
