They also see any move to curb their most costly and harmful privileges as an outrageous attack on their rights -

I just can't wrap my head around it sometimes. I know it's the point, that I'm not a person who would be so careless towards others, but how can they just have everything and not be satisfied?
@fruitcakesareyum @alice I think of it a bit like a shopping (or shoplifting maybe) addiction. They don't get a rush or satisfaction from HAVING the stuff, they get the rush from OBTAINING the stuff, and of course they can never be satisfied - they have to keep obtaining more.
