@foone thats an analog PIR sensor, it's sort of like a whetstone bridge but made out of photodiodes (to crudely simplify)

Anyway played with infrared temperature modules? I have one I tore out of a cheap infrared temperature-gun, but the 4 pins are labeled S+, P+, P-, S-

Every single IR sensor I can find that looks anything like this is I²C, which this clearly isn't. Anyone have a datasheet for anything like this?

@foone@digipres.club something like this? it's a thermistor and thermopile in the same package behind an IR filter, S+/S- could be the thermistor and P+/P- could be the thermopile https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/amphenol-advanced-sensors/ZTP-115/446799

@whitequark @foone I wonder. Could you connect it to something like a HX711? Given it’s tuned for bridges.

which also doesn't match the pinout of these when you get them in module form, since all of those I've seen go VCC,GND,SDA,SCL
