If you have a long term partner that you live with, do you usually sleep in the same bed?

@eniko, usually not even though we live together. Why? She doesn't want to be stomped by our little cat stable, left without blanket and not being able to freely take any pose. And I feel perfectly fine with them and sleep surrounded by the pack. Some of them are even treated as kids.

@eniko also, on king size, you have the possibility of having two separate blankets which is way better than it seems at first.
I know some Asian countries don't really have king size and instead use two side by side double beds which can allow for different mattress and bedding set

Joke aside, we do, have just the one bed but we also got a king sized bed, initially because I need to lay in one position and not move or I wake up in a lot of pain, but now it's because we have a kid who frequently wakes up and crawls into our bed only to lay horizontally and push us both out of the bed.

@mctwist @eniko I use a ~20 degree wedge pillow for my upper body, and that massively reduces the snoring.

Also, quietly and calmly telling someone to roll over and sleep on their side will make them do it without even waking them up. I learned that trick from The Abyss!

@eniko Had one before where we didn't because chronic pain and insomnia with separate sleep "schedules" made it difficult for either of us to get more than a few hours of sleep. As far as I can tell, it didn't effect the relationship.

@eniko my husband and I are both extremely light sleepers and wake each other up constantly, so we usually sleep separate.

@gabrielesvelto @eniko We've upgraded to a 200x210cm frame & mattress precisely because of the little restless nighttime visitors. The extra width makes all the difference. (and the extra 10cm length means I never end up with cold feet anymore)
