Minacciava i passanti con un coltello militare lungo 30 centimetri. La vicenda si è svolta martedì 17 marzo in via San Damiano, angolo Corso Venezia. L’autore un 55enne, pregiudicato, è stato immobilizzato dopo poco dai carabinieri del Nucleo radiomobile. L’uomo, dopo una chiamata al 112, è stato raggiunto sul posto.
Proprio qui, pochi minuti prima, secondo la ricostruzione delle forze dell’ordine, aveva cercato di aprire la portiera di un’auto, ferma davanti al semaforo all’incrocio. L’automobilista, alla vista dell’uomo che brandiva la lama, era scappato. Il 55enne aveva poi raggiunto una coppia che stava parcheggiando uno scooter, li aveva rincorsi gridando: “Vi ammazzo“. I due giovani erano poi riusciti a sfuggire all’aggressore e a mettersi in salvo, entrando in un palazzo in via San Damiano.
I militari giunti sul posto lo hanno convinto a deporre il coltello per poi bloccarlo. L’uomo è stato arrestato e trattenuto nelle camere di sicurezza.

He threatened passersby with a 30-centimeter military knife. The incident took place on Tuesday, March 17th, on Via San Damiano, at the corner of Corso Venezia. The 55-year-old, a previously convicted offender, was subdued shortly afterwards by carabinieri from the radiomobile unit. The man, following a call to 112, was reached on the scene.

Just here, a few minutes before, according to the reconstruction of law enforcement, he had tried to open the door of a car, parked in front of the traffic light at the intersection. The driver, seeing the man brandishing the blade, fled. The 55-year-old then approached a couple parking a scooter, chased them shouting, “I’ll kill you.” The two young people were then able to escape the aggressor and take refuge, entering a building on Via San Damiano.

The military arrived on the scene and convinced him to drop the knife before arresting him. The man was arrested and detained in the security rooms.
