Technical pedantry is important in UI and digital accessibility work. As practitioners we have to translate lingo all the time.

Granted, some lingo is a team trying to reinvent the same old pattern while pretending it’s new.

That’s how we get drawers and bottom-sheets which are typically dialogs.

Or cards and tiles which are usually just divs.

Or toasts and growls which are shitty messages.
