This is why I hate the "diaspora" Iranians cheering on the war of aggression against their own country. Obviously they either don't consider the effect the war will have on innocent children, or they know but are sociopaths who don't care. Is this suffering really a worthwhile exchange for killing the Ayatollah? And if you care so damn much about regime change, would you offer your own children as a sacrifice? These kids and their families didn't have a choice in that sacrifice. If they had been given a choice, I have no doubt they would have refused the regime change in order to keep their children alive, I am sure.

I hadn't noticed that diaspora Iranians were cheering. Yes, they must want regime change and are not considering the war crimes on children.I dislike thinking that they may be sociopaths, but admittedly I don't actually know.

@dougmerritt@mathstodon.xyz sociopathy may not be the right word, but I don't know what you call it when someone supports a war but steadfastly refuses to look at the images of the dead children, hear the voices of their survivors, or to empathize in any way with the victims from that war they are supporting.
Of the very few people in my family who moved to the US permanently, my cousins in Los Angeles are the worst. They aren't technically "diaspora" but they have lived among the diaspora in L.A. for so long that they have been brainwashed by all of that pro-monarchy propaganda. I always got along with my cousins well, but I don't think I can anymore.
