• sunny and less cold than I thought it would be, so a 5km walk occurred after this morning’s playing commitments
• a book I located and researched for the charity last year has sold at auction for well above estimate (>£2k before fees, I don’t know what the auction house takes) but that’s a good result for the charity
• got feedback on some work today. [A senior figure at publisher] “was talking to Simon Rattle the other day: he was ‘raving’ about the quality of the parts you prepared and was extremely happy and astounded that a significant new work had no errors.”
