This Afroman trial is giving me life.
Cops raided Afroman's house for no reason. They pointed guns at him and his kids, ransacked his house, and tried to disconnect his home security cameras. They didn't disconnect them all, and so were allegedly caught on camera stealing his money.
He then made a series of music videos using footage from his security camerasz and body cam footage. Now the cops are suing him for making the videos. The ACLU is defending him.

@mekkaokereke Afroman is a national treasure. I loved his music as a teen (and still do as an adult lol.)
Good for him for pushing back against police over-reach and asserting his freedom of speech!

@mekkaokereke been loving this case ever since he dropped the songs, such a bullshit raid. Good on him for speaking up - if the cops are confident enough to raid him, they're probably doing similar stuff to a lot of other people who can't speak up so loudly.
