I have a great sentimental love for The Monkees. The show was on every day in syndication after school when I was a kid, and I used to watch it all the time.

This is a GREAT collection, part of Rhino’s Start Your Ear Off Right (SYEOR) series.
Everything you could ever want from them is here, including one of my favorite songs of all time, “Porpoise Song”.

If you can’t appreciate The Monkees, then you’re just a twat.

@TheVinylApe I’m currently reading the autobiography of Marie Helvin, the model. When she was 13 in Hawaii, she saw the Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko give a reading, and gave him her address in case he wanted to come round to meet her family. A few months later he was back in Hawaii, and he called round, then took her to see a gig by The Monkees! Wild! All above board too.
