Has anyone on here played with pummer circuits?

Has anyone on here played with pummer circuits? If so, do you have any circuits you like?
(Please don't just send me links to pummer stuff online that you've never tried. I know how to use search engines)
@MLE_online If anyone else was just as confused as i regarding BEAM and pummers, here's a nice writeup:

@ai6yr it's not completely kaput. It does turn on when the lights go out. It just stays on instead of slowly pulsing. If i knew more about electronics, this would be an important clue
@ai6yr this second pummer was much easier to build because i did it deadbug style. Unfortunately it also doesn't work! In fact, it works even less than the last one

@MLE_online @ai6yr what's a pummer ? It looks interesting.

@quixoticgeek @MLE_online @ai6yr
I didn’t know and was curious.

@ai6yr fixed it!i had the diode the wrong way around

@ai6yr Now that this works, I just need my ceramic luminary to come out of the kiln so I can install this in it

@MLE_online @ai6yr Yeah, diodes are picky about that! Glad it's working.

@ai6yr And now that I have one built. I think I can build a couple more -- if I can find more schottky diodes in my stuff. I was lucky to find one

@MLE_online YAY! Glad you figured it out!!! That's fabulous!

@MLE_online I love that deadbug style makes it appear to be a spaceship, lol!

@MLE_online I should just put a selection of stuff from my pile o'junk and send it your direction. I have the entire remainder of resistors from the unbuilt L1011 aircraft program, plus so many transistors in the garage, lol. You could undoubtedly use a bunch!

@ai6yr that's in large part because i built it to be thin so i could fit it inside the ceramic piece, but there must also just be something inherently spacey about these because people like to make them look like little satellites
