    @ProPublica for those struggling to understand the logic behind these actions taken by this regime, it is important to remember that their goal is to destabilize things and make people suffer.

      A recently developed Defense Department program was meant to reduce civilian harm during military operations. But months before the Iran war, the mission was dissolved as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made “lethality” a top priority.

      @ProPublica Horrifying!

      “We’re departing from the rules and norms that we’ve tried to establish as a global community since at least World War II,” Bryant said. “There’s zero accountability.”

        @ProPublica I wish I could truly believe in heaven and hell; cause I sure want this administration to go there. They are evil, all of them and those enabling them.

        I'm no biblical scholar, but, I believe the hewbrew word for burning garbage midden is sheol. A compelling case could be made that a place of wailing and gnashing of teeth where garbage burns among people forelorn of hope became the literal analogy for the word we use in English: hell.

        Hells are places men make on Earth. No eternal damnation need be employed for this to be true. Making these rapture chasing assholes all the more obscene for their self-fulfilling apocalypse.

          @ProPublica we shouldn’t bomb civilians for moral reasons but even just for utilitarian purposes, lessons from past wars taught the military that they still depended on the good graces of locals to maintain victory, and there was no worse way to guarantee continued resistance than indiscriminate bombing. Absolute buffoons

                @ProPublica

                As you're reading through this.. remember this one single fact:

                - Performative cruelty is ALWAYS THE POINT WITH THESE ASSHOLES

                "Dismantling the fledgling harm-reduction effort, defense analysts say, is among several ways the Trump administration has reorganized national security around two principles: more aggression, less accountability."

                The Pentagon dismantled its civilian protection mission as Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth made “lethality” a top priority and the Trump administration reorganized national security around two principles: more aggression, less accountability.

                  "Be relentlessly lethal" reeks of that Hegsethian toxicbro jingoism that probably resonated with Charles Bradford Cooper II, Trump's pick to lead CENTCOM, when he gave that instruction to soldiers at the start of the #IranWar.

                  There are reasons serious military forces don't debase themselves in this way. My Lai and Abu Ghraib, to name two.

                    Pete Hegseth's operation Epic Stupidity need to be ended, and Hegseth needs to be tried as a war criminal when this administration loses power.

                    Kamala and Joe tried to warn us, I really wish Bernie, Mamdani, the Uncommitted Movement, and the American people had listened.

                        @ProPublica Hesgeth has a lot to answer for. He is completely out of his depth and seems to think he is still at Fox News judging by what spews from his mouth.
