Il cardinale arcivescovo di Chicago, Blaise Cupich, giudica "disgustoso" il video postato giorni fa dalla Casa Bianca sugli attacchi all'Iran. Si tratta di una "rappresentazione terrificante", si legge in una dichiarazione pubblicata sul sito dell'arcidiocesi. "Il nostro governo sta usando la sofferenza del popolo iraniano come sfondo per il nostro intrattenimento, come se fosse solo un altro contenuto da sfogliare mentre siamo in coda al supermercato". È invece "una vera guerra, con vera morte e vera sofferenza, trattata come se fosse un videogioco"

The archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal Blaise Cupich, deems the video posted days ago by the White House “disgusting.” It is a “terrifying representation,” reads a statement published on the archdiocese’s website. “Our government is using the suffering of the Iranian people as a backdrop for our entertainment, as if it were just another content to browse while waiting in line at the supermarket.” It is instead “a real war, with real death and real suffering, treated as if it were a video game.”
