AGI/Vista - “Si moltiplicano gli interventi unilaterali condotti fuori dal diritto internazionale, lì dobbiamo collocare l’intervento di Usa e Israele. Voglio dirlo a scanso di equivoci, un attacco al quale l’Italia non prende parte e non intende prendere parte”, ha sottolineato la premier, aggiungendo che quella in Iran è “un’escalation militare che l’Italia si è invece impegnata nei mesi scorsi a evitare insieme a nazioni come l’Oman e il Qatar. Ricordo che per due volte abbiamo ospitato a Roma i negoziati sul nucleare e che dall’inizio abbiamo sostenuto ogni sforzo di facilitazione che veniva condotto. A lungo abbiamo anche tenuto aperto un canale di comunicazione con Teheran, sottolineando l’urgenza di un accordo che assicurasse il carattere esclusivamente civile del programma nucleare iraniano”. I recall that we hosted nuclear negotiations in Rome twice and that from the beginning we supported every effort to facilitate them. For a long time, we also kept an open line of communication with Tehran, emphasizing the urgency of an agreement that ensured the exclusively civil nature of Iran’s nuclear program.”
