    What do you wear in your feet when at home around the house ? (Typically over the year, ignoring the coldest or hottest few days).

        @quixoticgeek @troublewithwords
        A system 🥹
        I prefer barefoot but I have a pair of fuzzy slippers in the corridor that I slip on for a few minutes when I get cold feet, and a pair of crocks that I slip on when I have to go downstairs (garage, basement, garden, bins) but those *might* be called "shoes"? 🤔
        Changing into them is easy when the default is barefoot. The only hitch in the system is that it always leaves them on the floor in the corridor and the cats sometimes puke into them. Secretly.

        @Antimony @quixoticgeek I almost wish my cats had that good of aim. Maybe I'm not using the right kind of shoes/slippers/clogs?

          @troublewithwords @quixoticgeek
          Last time I didn't see it and just put my bare foot into the crock, squish. It was great 😌.
          They also occasionally stuff their toys into them, maybe you could train them to puke into your shoes by putting their catnip mice there ^^

            @quixoticgeek Tai-chi shoes. I call them ninja shoes. They are about as basic a foot covering as one can find, and have soles made of rope.

              @quixoticgeek Is the poll messed up? Seems to have barely any responses.

                    @quixoticgeek i could've said ”just socks”, but it doesn't capture the feeling of the traditional homemade* wool socks that i (and almost everyone in finland) wear. during winter months i wear double wool socks, and during summer months i'm barefoot, so on average it's one pair of wool socks.

                    (* not made by myself tho)

                      @quixoticgeek socks, often double, as I've got some draft. My normal socks are usually merino (~60%) and on top I have woollen socks. Both are very comfy, they insulate but also evaporate, thus my feet don't get sweaty nor smelly.
