Barefoot during summer, socks and if needed woolen slippers during the chilly parts of autumn, winter and spring. I'd say its roughly 6 months barefoot and six months something on. -

A system 🥹
I prefer barefoot but I have a pair of fuzzy slippers in the corridor that I slip on for a few minutes when I get cold feet, and a pair of crocks that I slip on when I have to go downstairs (garage, basement, garden, bins) but those *might* be called "shoes"?
Changing into them is easy when the default is barefoot. The only hitch in the system is that it always leaves them on the floor in the corridor and the cats sometimes puke into them. Secretly. -

@quixoticgeek thongs! Meaning Aussie for what the Brits call "flip flops", or the Kiwis call "jandals".
That or barefoot, but my floor is often too dirty to be comfy with barefoot
so mostly it's the thongs (I may slip into some slippers in particularly cold times, but never socks... my feet are like nuclear fuel rods and need constant cooling.) -

@quixoticgeek have only worn sandals inside home for last 10 years and a pair of boots a few times left home in winter same pair for 15years nice rubber soles ...and wear them barefoot ...hate socks

I started wearing uggies—holy crap—half a century ago. 🤯 Blue Mountains Ugg Boots (not called that then, but the same shop) was 2 doors up from my mate's family.

@quixoticgeek from barefoot to socks to socks in slippers, depending on ambient/outside temperature. Right now it's getting socks temp.

I don't know about a Lithgow one. The Lolly Bug was the only spot I used to stop at.
