It's under 40 fahrenheit before I voluntarily put on footwear.

I wear slip-on rubber sandals around the house. They're what college kids might call "shower shoes."
I'm not classifying them as house shoes or slippers--even though that's what my father calls them--because I feel like they're the kind of shoes that would be acceptable in some venues (such as at the beach or pool) outside the home.

Barefoot, like the hillbillies I came from. I also can't stand socks without shoes. Too tight or loose, they never feel right. -
