What do you wear in your feet when at home around the house ? (Typically over the year, ignoring the coldest or hottest few days).

@quixoticgeek all footwear is an ungodly abomination made purely to make one feel miserable all the time just from wearing it /lh

@quixoticgeek I said shows, but I have dedicated house shoes. They look a bit like Japanese school shoes.

@quixoticgeek Shoes. My floors aren't great, and usually I have a few dogs which make socks or barefoot very...fuzzy. Shoes are vastly easier, and I don't have to take the time to remove and add footwear every time I need to go out to the detached garage or to check the mail.

If I've got a day where I'm staying inside all day (inclement weather, I'm sick, whatever) I'll opt for slippers, but they have soles on them. The fluffy slippers are a bad idea for the aforementioned reasons.

@quixoticgeek I’m saying ‘shoes,’ but I have a pair I specifically wear inside. Yes, just like Mr Rogers.

@quixoticgeek sandals as slippers. I have been banned from wearing my office slippers since that's at home full time.

Flip flops. Socks with them in the winter.

@quixoticgeek Sandals! Either flip/flops, or velcro straps. Sometimes with socks, because I am middle aged and live in california.

@quixoticgeek I wear very thick socks. Like socks so thick they’re not designed to be worn inside of shoes.

@quixoticgeek I kind of wanted to say “slippers” but I have Acorns™ which are slipper-ish but have soles. Lets me take my compost bucket to the bins outside, for example. Plus they last a lot longer.

@quixoticgeek Keen sandals. Easier to walk up and downstairs. Closed toe ones, never stub toes on bed frame or cabinets. Slippers for me are always slippery!
