How cold and rainy is it? It’s “Tek is sitting at a concert ordering a jacket liner” cold and rainy. I don’t think I’ll ever be warm or dry again.

Pro tip 1: Alpha Industries has a 30% veterans discount, bumping their stuff down from a bit of a splurge to not so bad.

Pro tip 2: wool socks. Only wool socks. Never cotton. Just wool.

@tek Damn those are some fine looking bomber jacket replicas. 30% you say?

(It’s springtime, Moto. You don’t live in SF anymore, you can live without a jacket)

I second you on the wool socks. Figured that out about ten years ago. They’re all I wear other than the rare occasion I need some dress socks because I’m wearing a suit.

Another tip: you can wear them more than once (although I let them air out a couple of days). They’re naturally anti-microbial so they tend not to smell. (Hope that doesn’t gross anyone out.)

@steve_zeke They’re life changing. I stepped in a puddle earlier and my feed are damp but not miserably so.

And yes, they’re multi-wear if you need them to be.

              While we’re at it:

Pro tip 3: Musician ear plugs are affordable and mute sounds across a wide spectrum equally. It’s like turning the world’s volume down. Wear them to a concert and you don’t hear EEEEeEEeeeeEEE for the rest of your life.

I wear stockings. The one pair of wool stockings have lasted a very long time.

@Energetic_Nova That makes lots of sense! My wool socks last ages so I bet your stockings do, too.

@tek Can confirm that hearing faint EEEEEeEEeeeEE after a concert with a very loud mistake made by people managing the PA sucks quite a lot. It's been what... almost 26 years. Incident was in 1999.

@tek I went to a NOFX concert and had the EeeeEeeeEeee for a couple of days, so annoying and bad. I have a pair of loops that I mainly use for sleeping but they are great for concerts too
