Plausible deniability?
@Sassinake @christmastree @joxe @stragu @rixx yep. The feature's target demographic has not read the FAQ.

@rixx @briankrebs OLD MAN SHAKES DEVICE AT CLOUD

@rixx Such crap.

Apart from the AI thing, "shake to do X" is so fucked
@rixx
I use Paranoid's Pal, so shaking locks the device and disables biometrics ^_^J -
can't wait to read the headline "Low-magnitude earthquake in highly populated area brings down AI servers"

@rixx Once I shook my phone in rage, and the window poped up asking me if I'd like to file a bug report. It has openned a new email in my default email client with all the necessary information, logs and the recipient pre-filled. 10/10 UX -

@deafboy It has never once occurred to me in my life to shake my phone in a rage tbh. I guess it's nice that they think about people who like to (quick, what do I call a tantrum when I want to be nice) express their frustrations on a more embodied level.
I did really like the Moto feature that turns on the flashlight on a choppy shake FWIW. Having to shake the phone for any regular interaction while using it though? yeah I stand by "fucked"

@christmastree @joxe @stragu @rixx That can be helpful to figure out if you wanna read that page. It’s a bit better than just reading the title
Though I’m generally skeptical of shaking motions. Desktop Firefox allows to do that in link preview before you properly open the page
I have to try to use that productively yet, but it seems useful for slow readers, who can’t skim over
Like with translations results won’t be great. If they do it like they always do it, it’ll be a small local model

@rixx also seen a few days ago "Here is a unasked for timer to the soccer world championship"
can someone please build something not being enshittificated? pleeeeeze.

@rixx i’d love to be able to configure the shake action!

@rixx I no longer trust Firefox. On Android, I switched to #Ironfox by @celenity. On Linux, I use @librewolf.
