How would one ferment an image?@Kimiko_0 MPEG motion artifacting. Or better yet, applying the wrong P and B frames to an I frame, it looks so amazingly fermented at that point.

How would one ferment an image?@Kimiko_0 Is the Ai piss filter thing mold-ing it?

@MiaWinter Yeah, I was thinking it should a) mess with the colors in a funky way, b) add something that wasn't there before, like texture. I'd hope to avoid ai poop, but some of those 'enhancements' that have been going around lately would certainly be fermented.

@helle Oh, that's an interesting way to do it. Wouldn't work on still images, but cool.

How would one ferment an image?@Kimiko_0 screenshotting the image, then the screenshot, and keep going over and over again -
@Kimiko_0 bit rot maybe?
@Primavera Hmm, bit rot how? Oh, you mean adding noise to a jpeg encoding table so it decodes worng or something?

@luka Hmm, it does add something new to the result each time, but it doesn't quite touch the original, does it?

@Kimiko_0 the thing where like storage media gets corruptes by random cosmic rays -
