@autistics Is anyone interested in filling in a research questionnaire for my step-enby on "Autistic traits, alexithymia and attachment"? They are struggling to get enough participants locally and this would help them gather the data they need for their psychology dissertation. They are #Autistic themselves, and studying psych in order to help other Autistic people. It's available at https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/glos/dis-questionares

@cybervegan Feedback from an AuDHD guy: I wish it was clearer up front about what it entailed. It mentions "three questionnaires" and "about 30 minutes", but no precise details about format or number or questions. I got to a page of 50 multiple choice questions and it felt like there would be more on later pages, but my ADHD refused to spend attention on the first 50 questions without knowing in advance how many more I'd have to do to earn that sweet "yay I helped" dopamine reward at the end.

@cybervegan
Apologies if I missed it (super tired today), but I can't see anything about whether they want only formally diagnosed folks, or whether self-diagnosed is also okay? -

@cybervegan my answers were as hot a mess as I am when it came to romantic relationships. Both my relationships were a toxic codependent dumpster fire, I don't think I interpreted the questions in the way they were meant. It didn't help to turn to my ex when I needed help, not because I didn't want his help, but because I knew I couldn't ever rely on him to be there for me in the way I would be there for him. So my answers may seem to be random, because they only make sense through the lens of unhealthy and codependent relationships.

@cybervegan not loving the assumption that everyone can meaningfully answer the romantic partner ones. I'm aro and i've never been in a relationship like that. I also can't imagine it's super easy to answer about for polyam people. More generic wording about 'the person or people you are close to' rather than specifying romantic partners would probably get more coherent results. Filled out as best i can anyway

There's still time if you would like to complete it.

@cybervegan @autistics Just boosted into my timeline. Is the survey still open (I noticed the original post was nearly 3 weeks ago)?
