#OTD 26 March 1882, Laura Eva Neff married James H. Phillips in Van Buren County, Iowa. The couple had a daughter, Lulu. The fate of both James and Lulu is a mystery. In 1886, Laura remarried to Thomas Newton Cantrill. They also had a daughter, Junie May. After about 23 years of marriage, Laura sought and was granted a divorce. Her fate is also a mystery. Because she was a cousin in my wild Maddox family, nothing would surprise me.
