@SapphireRose91 @ratking I'd still rather use an iPad. Now that's much better because of the simple interface. Just saying they could simplify it.

@NicksWorld @ratking And see, I'm not an iPad person. I've tried different sizes. I even had to use one for work at one stage, and I could never get the hang of it.

@SapphireRose91 I don't need no damn metal. I just know I'm good at it and it didn't take long. Yay for kid sponge brain.

@ratking @SapphireRose91 Yeah, but you can't just pick up a mac first day and begin to use it. I can pick up an iPad and just know how to use it, no changes at all and no complicated menus or tables, both of which I've seen with Mac.

@NicksWorld @ratking @SapphireRose91 You can pick up an iPad and use it because you are proficient using an iPhone and many of the gestures and commands are similar. Anything you do for the first time that is entirely new is going to take some effort and commitment to learn it.

@pawpower @ratking @SapphireRose91 but why use Mac? It offers nothing I already don't have with windows. I can pick up a new windows computer today and still use it just as I am right now. I don't have to spend hours and hours on a course to learn to use the thing because it doesn't require a whole manual to learn it, also, I've used my brother's computer and it just makes no sense to me.

@NicksWorld @ratking @SapphireRose91 Personally, and this is for me only, I use a Mac because it is the operating system on a computer that works most consistently with braille every single time. It doesn't matter which display it is it doesn't matter what kind of connection, Bluetooth or USB I can get braille every single time and for me that is the most important thing. I can work around everything else, but if I don't have braille, I don't have access and I know windows has NVDA and jaws and every time I try and use a display with one of these at some point I have to have a hearing person or someone who can see help me fix the configuration settings to fix it and it's annoying. So I will always use a Mac until Windows is as good with braille support as the Mac is.

@NicksWorld @SapphireRose91 I personally find using the mac to be a little confusing. I don't know how it all works yet, but if there are resources out there to learn how to use the Mac, then I'm more than willing to learn. I do like my Mac, it’s just a little clunky in my opinion to use compared to my windows machine. But I've been using windows for a little over 15 years.

@NicksWorld Umm. OK. My respectful suggestion is that you buy a recent mac on a return policy, try it yourself, and watch a sighted person use it, even if the sighted person knows nothing about the Mac. The interface for the sighted user will have very few issues, in fact, having had experience with quite a few sighted people, I wouldn't be surprised if the sighted person liked it instantly. The interface, in my experience, is fine. It's VO's issues that make the Mac a serious pain for blind users. Interaction, just for example, is almost exclusive to VO on OSX.

@SapphireRose91 @NicksWorld @ratking Also, everyone is different and everyone's priorities are different and why does anyone even care what someone else uses. If you don't like the Mac, don't use the Mac! I don't actually care if people use windows that's awesome. I'm glad it works for them. I personally want to throw a windows computer out the window 15 minutes after starting to work with it, but I understand that I'm in the minority, but I don't let this shit live rent free in my head because it doesn't matter. Everyone has to do what works for themselves. Turning this into some kind of ridiculous argument is just that… Ridiculous. Use what works. Let your neighbor do what works for them. It might be different from you.
