I often schedule posts on my blog up to a couple weeks in advance. It's a practicality thing.
But then it occurs to me that if I were to ever be kidnapped suddenly and taken for ransom, no one would believe it until my scheduled posts ran out.

@8r4d You know, you could switch this around. Scheduled blog posts as an emergency alert dead-man's switch. Every day you need to log in & delay the schedule publication time of your "Help! Something's Gone Horribly Wrong" post by an additional 24 hours.
